And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?
Alma 5:26
Tony's baptism 2 - 8- 2020
This is Tony. We met him about three months ago. One day he saw the missionaries on the street and basically "ran" to track them down. Why? He claims the spirit moved him to and he wanted to change his life. In Tony's life the scars have taken their "toll" ...so to speak, Tony was able to do a complete 180. It was amazing for me to watch the transformation of Tony's heart and spirit. As he met with the missionaries week after week, as he attended church every Sunday, as he participated with the Saints here in Humacao, and as he got "hooked" on the Book of Mormon videos, I saw a different face, a change of face because of a change of heart. Tony over the course of three months grew more beautiful inside and out. Sheri Dew in one of her books claims that when people are filled with Christ it changes their demeanor, their physical appearance, and the "fullness of gospel light" shines through. I believe it, because I see it.

| Christie Ortiz's baptism 2-8-2020 with Sisters Hahne and Bais |
This is Christie. We met her about two months ago. Christie is a beautiful story too. She also had a rough, rough life. On the last discussion before her baptism, Kyle and I were with the sister missionaries teaching Christie. She talked about the "turning point" and how God helped her to realize that He was there, that she was loved, and that she was needed by Him. She told about her change of heart and the drastic changes she was willing to make in her life.
The most touching part of the night for us was when Christie realized that she could go to the temple and do proxy baptisms for her ancestors! You should have seen her jaw drop, followed by a floodgate of tears. She was crying and of course the Spirit was so strong... we all sat there crying together. It was an experience I will never forget.
With both of these individuals I notice a very obvious common denominator. It was the tears in their eyes. The eyes can't lie. Those tears were evidence of a major change of heart.
